Catch cheaters, not lag.
Nexus runs its detection on our backend instead of your server, so your world stays smooth while cheaters get caught. You manage everything in real time from a Discord bot and a full web console, on every plan.
- Free for 20 players, with every feature
- Web console and Discord bot on every plan
- 25 detections, tunable per server
See it in action
The tools you get from day one. Previews use demo data.
Your whole server, one tab
Live TPS, latency and players, with every moderation action one click away. Works from any browser, including your phone.
- TPS and latency graphs for the last 24 hours
- Kick, ban, freeze or teleport in one click
- Staff accounts with only the permissions you choose
Edit any inventory, even offline
See a player's inventory, armor, off-hand and ender chest exactly as they look in game, then change any item. Edits to offline players apply the moment they rejoin.
- Enchantments, durability, names and lore
- Real Minecraft item textures
- Bundle contents supported
Run it from Discord
Chat is relayed both ways, flags arrive in a log channel, and your community gets pinged when the server comes online. Moderate with /mod without leaving Discord.
- Chat bridge between Minecraft and Discord
- Join, leave, flag and status channels
- Role permissions per command
Know the moment something happens
Every flag shows who, what and where, with the punishment that was applied. Tune each check's sensitivity and punishment from the console.
- Flag history for every player
- Kick, ban or just log, per check
- Lag-compensated so laggy players aren't punished
Why server owners choose Nexus
Most anticheats are add-ons that run inside your world and compete with gameplay for every tick. Nexus is built differently.
Your TPS stays yours
The heavy analysis runs on our servers, not yours. Your server just reports what happens, so adding players doesn't add anticheat lag.
Fair to laggy players
Reach, hitbox and combat checks predict movement using each player's ping and velocity, so honest players on a bad connection aren't punished for lag.
Moderate from anywhere
Ban, freeze, teleport or edit an inventory from your browser or Discord, even while a player is offline. Actions apply the moment they rejoin.
Never left unprotected
If the connection to our backend ever drops, the pack switches to its built-in local checks until it's back, so your server is always covered.
Always getting smarter
Cloud detections are improved on our side, so most updates reach your server without reinstalling the pack or restarting.
Built for teams
Invite staff to the console with only the permissions they need, and give Discord roles access to specific moderation commands.
Nexus vs. an in-game anticheat add-on
What changes when detection moves off your server.
| Typical add-on | Nexus | |
|---|---|---|
| Where the checks run | On your server's tick | On our backend |
| Impact as players grow | Grows with every player | Stays near zero |
| Lag compensation | Depends on the add-on | Ping and velocity prediction |
| Getting detection updates | Reinstall on every server | Applied on our side |
| Moderation tools | In-game commands | Web console, Discord bot and in-game |
| Offline players | Can't be managed | Ban, freeze and edit inventories |
| Bans and config after a restart | Stored in the world | Also mirrored in the cloud |

Questions
Is there really a free plan?
Yes. Run /token free in our Discord for a 20-player key with every feature: cloud detections, web console, Discord bot and a 100-player database. It runs for a month at a time.
Will it slow my server down?
Very little. Your server sends a compact stream of game events and our backend does the analysis, so the heavy work never runs on your tick.
What happens if your backend goes down?
The pack notices the disconnect and turns on its built-in local checks, then hands back to the cloud as soon as the connection returns. It reconnects automatically.
Does it work on Realms?
No. Nexus needs a Bedrock Dedicated Server (BDS), because it uses the @minecraft/server-net module to reach our backend. See the setup guide.
Can my staff help moderate?
Yes. Invite sub-users to the console with only the permissions you choose, and use /access to let Discord roles run specific commands.

Cloud detections
The advanced checks that run on the Nexus backend, included on every plan, including the free one. They analyse behaviour using data your server can't see on its own, so they catch cheats that client-side checks miss. Each one can be tuned or turned off from your web console.
Combat 6
Kill Aura
Flags players auto-attacking targets: hitting several entities, snapping between them, or swinging with impossible timing and angles.
Reach
Catches attacks landed from beyond legitimate melee distance. Tridents use vanilla reach and are never flagged.
Hitbox
Detects expanded hitboxes: hits that register outside a target's true bounds, using server-side offset prediction.
Ghost Hand
Flags attacks and interactions that pass through solid blocks to reach a target behind cover.
Auto Clicker
Flags unnaturally high CPS (clicks per second): attack speeds faster than a human hand can produce.
Crystal Aura
Detects automated end-crystal placing and detonating far faster than a real player could manage.
World & building 10
Scaffold
Flags auto-bridging: placing blocks beneath the player while moving with unnatural aim and timing.
Nuker
Detects breaking many blocks at once, or instantly across an area, beyond what's humanly possible.
Block Aura
Catches automatic interaction with surrounding blocks at impossible angles and rates.
Break Reach
Flags breaking blocks that are farther away than the legitimate reach distance.
Place Reach
Flags placing blocks beyond the legitimate reach distance.
Interact Reach
Detects interacting with blocks and entities from farther than allowed.
Invalid Place
Flags modified clients placing blocks in impossible states or positions a legitimate client would never allow.
Place Auto Clicker
Detects placing blocks far too quickly: automated placement well beyond a human rate.
Chest Aura
Flags looting many chests at the same time, opening and emptying several containers at once.
Chest Stealer
Detects instantly emptying containers, pulling every item far faster than manual clicking allows.
Movement 3
No Slow
Flags moving at full speed while eating, drinking, using a bow or shield, or sneaking, which should slow the player down.
Anti No Clip on your server
Stops players from clipping through blocks and walls to reach places they shouldn't.
Anti Ground Spoof on your server
Catches players faking being on the ground to air-jump and fly.
No Clip and Ground Spoof run on your server rather than the cloud because they need to react instantly. They're heavily optimized and have almost no performance impact.
Player & items 3
Auto Totem
Detects re-equipping a Totem of Undying into the off-hand instantly after it pops, faster than a human could.
Fast Offhand
Detects clients that auto-place a totem or off-hand item the moment the player opens their inventory.
Durability Editor
Catches items whose durability has been illegally modified beyond their real value.
Exploits 3
Item Duplication
Four independent engines cover the main dupe families. Dupe A: bundle-in-container dupes. Dupe B: clone and NPC name dupes (players cloned as Name (2)). Dupe C: inventory snapshot checks that catch items appearing from nowhere. Dupe D: redstone contraption dupes (lever-triggered hopper and chest machines). Each can be toggled and punished separately.
Force OP
Detects attempts to illegitimately grant operator permissions or escalate privileges.
Name Spoof
Catches spoofed or invalid player names that use look-alike or full-width characters and similar tricks.

What the numbers mean
Player slots
The number of players who can be online at once and protected by the anticheat. This is your live capacity. Players over the limit are refused.
Database players
How many unique players, online and offline, Nexus remembers for searching, moderation and acting on offline players. At the cap the oldest player is removed automatically, but never one who is banned, frozen or online.

Setup guide
From a fresh Bedrock Dedicated Server to a fully protected server in about 10 minutes. Follow the steps in order.
Before you start
Make sure you have all of these. Most setup problems come from a missing item on this list.
- A Bedrock Dedicated Server (BDS). Nexus doesn't work in single-player, on Realms or in LAN worlds, because it needs the
@minecraft/server-netmodule, which only exists on BDS. - A BDS version that matches the pack. Nexus uses Minecraft's Beta Script APIs, which change with every Minecraft update. Always use the latest Nexus release for your Minecraft version. Check the downloads channel in our Discord after each Minecraft update.
- Access to the server's files (FTP, file manager or the machine itself), so you can edit two small config files.
- Access to the server console, so you can make yourself an operator.
- A Discord account, to claim your license key.
1Get a license key
Join our Discord and run this in any channel the bot can see:
/token free name:Your Server Name
You get a free key for 20 players with every feature, valid for 30 days. The name becomes your server's label and the name you sign in to the web console with, so use your real server name. For more slots, open a ticket to buy a plan.
- Forgot your key? Run
/mytokensto see every key tied to your Discord account. - Keep your key private. Anyone with it can connect a server as you. One key works on one server at a time.
2Enable Beta APIs
Nexus needs the Beta APIs experiment turned on in your world. Experiments are saved inside the world itself, so they can't be turned on from server.properties.
- New world: create it in Minecraft with Experiments → Beta APIs turned on, then upload the world folder to your server's
worlds/folder. - Existing world: download it, open it once in Minecraft, turn on Beta APIs under Experiments in the world settings, save, and upload it back. Many hosting panels also have an experiments toggle.
3Allow the networking module
By default BDS blocks scripts from making network connections. Open config/default/permissions.json in your server folder (create the file if it doesn't exist) and make sure it contains:
{
"allowed_modules": [
"@minecraft/server",
"@minecraft/server-ui",
"@minecraft/server-net"
]
}
Server net is disabled in the server console later, networking is still blocked. Some setups read a pack-specific file at config/d3a5b476-7e93-45c4-a3a8-88ae66bd2a2e/permissions.json instead of default. Add the same content there too.4Install the pack
- Download the pack with the button above. If it's a
.mcpackor.mcaddon, rename it to.zipand extract it. - Put the extracted folder in your server's
behavior_packs/folder, for examplebehavior_packs/Nexus/. The pack'smanifest.jsonmust be directly inside that folder, not one level deeper. - Open
worlds/<your world>/world_behavior_packs.json(create it if it doesn't exist) and add Nexus:
[
{ "pack_id": "d3a5b476-7e93-45c4-a3a8-88ae66bd2a2e", "version": [2, 0, 2] }
]
If the file already lists other packs, add the Nexus line inside the same brackets, separated by a comma. When you update Nexus later, update the version numbers to match the new pack's manifest.json.
Restart the server. You should see Nexus messages in chat and in the server console.
5Become a Nexus admin
Nexus setup commands only work for Nexus admins. To become one you must first be a server operator:
- In the server console, run
op YourGamertag. - Join the server and type in chat:
!op. You'll see "You are now a nexus admin." - Recommended: protect admin access with a password (at least 8 characters). Other operators will then need it to become Nexus admins:
!password set YourPassword YourPassword
To make another player a Nexus admin, run !op TheirName, adding the password at the end if you set one.
6Connect to Nexus
Type these two commands in chat:
!setToken your-license-key !setServer EU
For setServer, choose the region closest to your server: NA (North America), EU (Europe) or AS (Asia).
Nexus connects by itself within about 10 seconds. You'll see these messages in chat:
That's it. Your server is protected. Run !info at any time to check the status.
!disconnect. Nexus reconnects to the new region within about 10 seconds.7Set up the web console
- Open the console and click Add console.
- Enter your server name exactly as it appears in
/mytokens(the name you chose in step 1). - The first time, you'll be asked for your license key and a new console password. Next time, just the server name and password.
- Optional: click Sync with Discord to keep your consoles on every device you use.
Want staff to help? Go to Settings → Sub-users, create an invite link, and choose exactly what they can do.
8Set up the Discord bot
Add the Nexus bot to your Discord server using the invite link in our Discord, then run these commands as someone with Manage Server:
/setup link token:your-license-key /setup channel type:Chat bridge channel:#minecraft-chat /setup channel type:Flag log channel:#anticheat-logs /setup channel type:Join log channel:#joins /setup channel type:Leave log channel:#leaves /setup status channel:#server-status ping:@Players
- Only
/setup linkis required. Add whichever channels you want. Discord shows the options as you type, so pick type from the list. - Let staff moderate without admin rights:
/access allow role:@Moderators command:mod(or a single action likemod:ban). - See the Bot commands page for everything else.
In-game commands
Commands start with ! (or nexus.) and aren't case-sensitive. Everything except !help and !info needs a Nexus admin. You can change the ! prefix in the config.
Setup & connection
!op [player] [password]Make yourself (or another player) a Nexus admin. You must be a server operator.!deop [player] [password]Remove Nexus admin.!password set <new> <confirm> [old]Set or change the admin password (8+ characters). !password remove <current> removes it.!setToken <key>Set your license key. "Unknown command" or nothing happens
Commands start with !. If someone changed the prefix in the config, use nexus. instead, for example nexus.help. If nothing appears at all, the pack isn't loaded: check step 4 and that Beta APIs are on (step 2).
"You don't have permission to use that command"
You're not a Nexus admin yet. Run op YourGamertag in the server console, then !op in chat (step 5).
"Server net is disabled" in the console
@minecraft/server-net isn't allowed. Fix permissions.json (step 3) and restart the server.
"Authentication … rejected! The license key was removed"
The key is wrong, expired or was revoked, so Nexus removed it to stop retrying. Check it with /mytokens in Discord, then run !setToken again.
"your license key is in use!"
The same key is connected on another server. Each key works on one server at a time. Stop the other server or use a different key.
"The anticheat subscription is expired!"
Your plan has run out. Free keys can be renewed, and paid plans can be extended. Open a ticket in our Discord.
"Couldn't reach the Nexus backend after 5 attempts"
Your server couldn't reach our backend, so Nexus waits 15 minutes before trying again. Check that your host allows outgoing connections and that you picked the right region with !setServer. Running !setToken again retries straight away.
"Nexus is outdated and has stopped connecting"
A newer Nexus version is required. Download the latest pack, replace the old folder, update the version in world_behavior_packs.json and restart.
"The Nexus backend asked us to reconnect later"
We're doing maintenance, or your license has been paused. Nexus reconnects by itself after the time shown. Your server keeps its local checks meanwhile.
Players are kicked when the server is full
Your plan's player slots are the number of players Nexus can protect at once. Extra players are refused. Upgrade your plan for more slots.
Good to know
- If our backend goes down, the pack switches to its built-in local checks and reconnects by itself once it's back.
- Nexus admins aren't checked by the anticheat, so staff testing things aren't flagged. Only make people you trust Nexus admins.
- Actions on offline players made from the console or bot (ban, inventory edits and so on) run the moment they rejoin.
- Shulker box contents can't be read or edited, because Minecraft's scripting API doesn't expose them. Bundles work fine.
- After each Minecraft update, wait for the matching Nexus release before updating your server. Beta APIs usually change.

Privacy & data policy
A plain-English summary of what Nexus collects, how we protect it, and your rights. We keep only what the anticheat needs to work.
The data we collect
- Player identifiers: the in-game name and player id of players on your server, so the anticheat can detect and flag them and you can moderate them.
- Server and license data: your license token, plan, player slot count and connection status.
- Anticheat state: your configuration and your ban and freeze lists, mirrored so they survive restarts.
- Player database: each stored player's last location, flag history, and inventory and ender chest items (with enchantments, durability and names), so you can view and edit them while they're offline.
- Operational metrics: packet and message rates and latency, used only to run and monitor the service.
We do not collect chat history beyond what the live console view needs, and we don't sell or profile players.
How we store and protect it
- Data is stored safely on our own backend, and kept only while your license is active or as long as moderation needs it.
- Console passwords are hashed (scrypt) and never stored in plain text. Access is scoped per console with per-user permissions.
- The player database is capped per plan. The oldest records are pruned automatically, so we never hoard data you don't need.
- You can ask for your data to be removed at any time by opening a ticket in our Discord.
No third-party sharing
- We do not share your data with any third-party apps, advertisers or analytics services.
- Your data is used only to run the Nexus anticheat and the tools you use to manage it.
Who can see your token
- Only token managers (the owners and trusted staff) can view your license token, and only to help you.
- Keep your token private: anyone with it can authenticate your server. Open a ticket to rotate it if you think it leaked.
Refunds
- If you hit a genuine issue on our side, we make it right: you're compensated with extra anticheat usage (added time or capacity).
- Open a ticket describing the problem and our team will sort it out fairly.
Fair use and your responsibilities
- Don't share, resell or abuse your license token or the service.
- You're responsible for how you moderate your own players. Nexus provides the tools; you make the calls.
- We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in our Discord.
Questions about your data or a refund? Open a ticket in our Discord.
